This painting was one of my "experiments" with daring to use unconventional color. I use outlining alot in my paintings but this is one of the ones where I've started to use a wider "fuzzier" outline. I really like the colors in this one---hope you do too!

Girly Boots

I have wanted to paint these boots for a long time but when I finally did, I had to meet some challenges new to me. Working in browns didn't come naturally and I struggled alot trying to differentiate textures and color. The true colors are a little richer and try as I may, I couldn't get them completely right with my photo studio application. But the thing with painting is that you can always be humbled and learn something new! I learned I need to get to know browns better!

Beach Bum

I've been trying to think of new subject matter and I set up a still life of the tennies and cap. I needed a setting to place them in, and what is more obvious than a beach!

I like working in these colors for the contrast and "yum" factor. It needed a little more something so I added the turquoise highlights on the leaves.
