Paradise Cove

This painting was based on a photo I took near Zijuantenejo, Mexico. My friend and I had rented a jeep and pulled off the road and found this great little cove. It looked so peaceful and inviting and I hope that comes through in the painting.

Hello everybody! Having painted a lot of photo realism in my checkered art career, the closest description of my current work is sorta "realistic impressionism". From time to time I still paint photo realistically just to keep my chops up.
